An Envisat orbit control manoeuvre (OCM) has been scheduled from 28 - 29 September 2009 between 22:00 - 07:00 UTC.

LINUX operating system in the ESA Ground Segment

Starting on Monday, 28 September 2009, the ENVISAT atmospheric chemistry near real-time processors will be switched to LINUX operating system in the ESA Ground Segment.

February launch for ESA's CryoSat ice mission

As members of the media visit IABG's spacecraft test centre in Germany to learn more about ESA's CryoSat mission and view the satellite, a new target launch date of 28 February 2010 has been announced.

PV2009 Conference - Ensuring Long-Term Preservation and Adding Value to Scientific and Technical ...

After four very successful events, PV 2002 at CNES in Toulouse, France, PV 2004 at ESA/ESRIN in Frascati, Italy, PV 2005 at DCC in Edinburgh, UK and PV 2007 at DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, the conference series continues to address prospects in the domain of scientific and technical data preservation together with value adding to these data. Deadline for registration is 30 October 2009.
