The 2nd Advanced Course on Radar Polarimetry will be held in ESA/ESRIN, Frascati, Italy.
The course will provide a substantial and balanced introduction to the basics and advanced concepts of theory, scattering concepts, systems and applications typical of radar polarimetric remote sensing, as well as hands-on computing exercises on PolSAR and Pol-InSAR data processing for remote sensing applications
28 January - 01 February 2013
The 6th International Workshop on Science and Applications of SAR Polarimetry and Polarimetric Interferometry, POLinSAR 2013, will be hosted in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy. The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for scientific exchange to present results and progress in the fields of SAR Polarimetry and Polarimetric Interferometry. The Symposium is open to ESA Principal Investigators, scientists, students, future SAR missions users, representatives from space agencies and value adding industries.
Submission of full paper deadline: 15 February 2013
25 - 27 February 2013
The SMOS land applications workshop will be held at ESA-ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, from 25 to 27 February 2013. Following regular meetings of the SMOS Validation & Retrieval Team and a very successful workshop in 2011 in Arles, two dedicated workshops for land and ocean applications will be held in 2013. This land workshop will focus on the latest developments for the Level 2 processor and the verification of the corresponding soil moisture and vegetation opacity products. In addition, the international science community will present and discuss novel data products and applications.
Registration deadline: 14 January 2013
12 - 14 March 2013
The Third CryoSat user workshop will be held in Dresden, Germany, from 12 to 14 March 2013.
This workshop is intended to provide a forum to present and discuss all topics related to the exploitation of the CryoSat mission and to identify novel scientific challenges.
The workshop is open to all scientists with an interest in the CryoSat mission and its data products.
Registration deadline: 22 January 2013
13 - 15 March 2013
The European Space Agency is organising a workshop on Atmospheric Chemistry and Composition Validation and Product Evolution. The Workshop will be held from 13 to 15 March 2013 in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy.
The aim of the workshop is to present Cal/Val results from ENVISAT, ERS-2 and other Third Party Missions (GOSAT/Odin/OMI/SciSat/Terra-Aqua) to encourage contributions for future ESA missions (Earth Explorers, Sentinels) using existing data sets and Cal/Val infrastructures.
07 - 12 April 2013
The EGU General Assembly 2013 will be held at the ACV centre in Vienna, Austria, from 7 to 12 April 2013. The event will bring together geoscientists from all over the world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. Especially for young scientists, it is the aim of the EGU to provide a forum where they can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences.
Early registration deadline: 13 March 2013
