Following an agreement between ESA, Krunichev Space Centre and Eurockot Launch Services, ESA's next Earth Explorer mission SMOS and a secondary payload, the technology demonstrator Proba-2 satellite, will now launch on 2 November 2009.

The OceanObs '09 symposium will celebrate a decade of progress and
make a major contribution to chart the way forward for the coming
decade. The aim is to strengthen and enhance the international
framework under GCOS/GOOS/WCRP for sustained world ocean observing
and information systems supporting the needs of society about ocean
weather, climate, ecosystems, carbon and chemistry.
