The new MIPAS/ENVISAT operational processor (IPF) Version 5.05 was successfully activated in ESRIN and Kiruna processing centers on 10 June 2010. This IPF allows to re-start the MIPAS Level 2 Near Real Time (NRT) processing in the ESA Ground Segment.

The following ENVISAT processors (IPFs) were upgraded by mainly implementing the new ENVISAT CFI version 5.8.1, in order to be ready for the new Envisat orbit (news of 04 June 2010) planned for October 2010 and in some cases for some minor bug fixes.
Plots of the planned ERS-2 SAR acquisitions for the coming week are available here.

Earth Observation Events
28 June 2010 - 2 July 2010
The 2010 European Space Agency Living Planet Symposium follows the previous successful ENVISAT Symposia in Montreux (2007), Salzburg (2004), Gothenburg (2000), Florence (1997), Hamburg (1993) and Cannes (1992). The Symposium will provide an opportunity to present results from missions in exploitation (ERS-2, ENVISAT, GOCE, SMOS, CRYOSAT, Third Party Missions) and to introduce future ESA missions (GMES Sentinels, Earth Explorers, meteorological missions) and national EO missions.
Earth Observation Resources
The MERIS RR Cloud-free services are added value services which allow Cat-1 users to retreive MERIS Level 1 Reduced Resolution products with a cloud cover under a treshold defined by them.
