A MERIS wavelength calibration campaign scheduled on 30 September 2009 will require specific instrument programming preventing nominal data acquisition of the orbit range 39660 to 39661 (inclusive).

This Envisat image captures Hurricane Jimena roaring towards Mexico's Baja California Peninsula on 31 August (18:09 UT). Envisats Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) optical instrument acquired this image working in Full Resolution mode to provide a spatial resolution of 300 m.
Earth Observation Events

The Symposium will take place in Hawai'i and is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF). The event is open to accepted PIs, Co-Is, and representatives of the four Data Nodes (AADN, JAXA, ESA, GA) and the Asian sub-node: Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA).
The abstract submission deadline has passed, however it is still possible to submit an abstract online.
30 November 2009 - 4 December 2009
ESA is organising its 6th International Workshop on "Advances in the Science and Applications of SAR Interferometry", which will be hosted in ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. The workshop is open to ESA Principal Investigators and co-investigators, scientists and students working in the field of SAR Interferometry and its applications, and to representatives from national, European and international space agencies and value adding industry.
