In preparation for the Sentinel-3A satellite launch at the end of 2014, a Validation Team has been convened by ESA and EUMETSAT to assist in the scientific validation of mission products and services. The Sentinel-3 Validation Team (S3VT) 1st Meeting will take place at ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, from 26 to 29 November 2013. The aim of the S3VT meeting is to consolidate and document S3VT activities prior to launch to facilitate Phase E1 and Phase E2 cal/val planning.

The American Geophysical Union's 46th annual Fall Meeting will be held in San Francisco, California from 09 to 13 December 2013.
The meeting is the largest worldwide conference in the geophysical sciences, attracting more than 22,000 Earth and space scientists, educators, students, and other leaders gathering to present ground-breaking research and connect with colleagues.

The European Space Agency, in the context of the Scientific Exploitation of Operational Missions (SEOM) element, is organising an event dedicated to prepare for scientific exploitation of the Sentinel-2 mission, entitled "Sentinel-2 for Science Workshop", which will be hosted in ESA-ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, from 20 to 22 May 2014.
The workshop is open to ESA Principal Investigators, co-investigators, Sentinel-2 users, scientists, students, representatives from national, European and international space agencies and value adding industries.
