EarthCARE Cal/Val AO - Deadline approaching

ESA released an Announcement of Opportunity (AO) Call for the External Calibration and Validation of the EarthCARE products on 15 June 2017.


This is a reminder for all interested users that the deadline for submitting proposals is approaching, on 15 October 2017.

Swarm Bravo: L1B and L2 Cat-2 data gap

We inform the Swarm users that due to an anomaly that occurred on the VFM (Vector Field Magnetometer) on board Swarm Bravo, i.e., VFM generation time of science packet frozen from 11/09/2017 03:54 UTC to 13/09/2017 12:24 UTC, the Swarm Level 0 data for this time window was not generated.

Echoes in Space now available

Mapping Germany's agricultural landscape

Combining images captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission and the US Landsat-8 satellite between October 2015 and the end of 2016, this land-cover classification map shows different crops across Germany. A total of 2.2 TB of data were used to generate the map, which distinguishes between 21 land cover classes and includes 15 specific crop types.
