OTF planned maintenance – 19 July 2018

Due to a scheduled maintenance, access to the On-The-Fly (OTF) Online Dissemination System (OADS) for the ERS and Envisat (A)SAR data will be unavailable during the following time frame:

  • Thursday 19 July 2018 from 09:00 to 16:00 CEST.

Improved CryoSat data access

It’s all go in summer for Greenland’s glaciers

The Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission has revealed that, on average, Greenland's glaciers are now flowing more slowly into the Arctic Ocean. While glacial flow may have slowed overall, in summer glaciers flow 25% faster than they do in the winter.

Copernicus Sentinel-5P releases first data

Following months of tests and careful evaluation, the first data on air pollutants from the Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite have been released. These first maps show a range of trace gases that affect air quality such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone.

Geohazards TEP maintenance from 12 to 16 July

POLinSAR 2019 workshop

The European Space Agency is organising POLinSAR 2019, the 9th International Workshop on Science and Applications of SAR Polarimetry and Polarimetric Interferometry. The workshop will be hosted in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy from 28 January to 01 February 2019.

MetOp-C launch campaign kicks off

CryoSat Data anomaly resolved

We would like to inform the CryoSat Data users that the anomaly affecting the generation of data on 08 July 2018, has been resolved now. Previously delayed data have also been restored and all the operations are back to normal.

CryoSat Data unavailability on 08 July 2018

We would like to inform the CryoSat Data users, that since early Sunday, 08 July afternoon, the CryoSat ground processing system couldn't generate SIRAL, DORIS and STR Level-0 data, due to an unforeseen application exception.

Aeolus to understand winds

07 July 2018

At the Airbus Defence and Space facility in Toulouse, France, ESA's Aeolus wind satellite has been prepared for its launch on top of a Vega rocket from Kourou in French Guiana. Liftoff is currently scheduled for August.
