Updated CryoSat dataset with corrected mispointing angle for aberration of light

02 February 2018

The dataset which contains Star Tracker mispointing angles corrected for the aberration of light has now been updated with the archive for 2017.

The dataset is particularly useful for CryoSat users processing the data in Swath Mode.

It is noted that corrected values of the mispointing angles corrected for the aberration of light will be incorporated in the next release of the ice products called Baseline D, planned to be released this year.

The full dataset now covers most of the mission lifetime, dating from November 2010 to the end of 2017.

More information on the dataset is available on the datasets page.

Sentinel-3B good to go

02 February 2018

After being put through its paces to make sure it is fit for life in orbit around Earth, the Copernicus Sentinel-3B satellite is ready to be packed up and shipped to Russia for liftoff.
Working on Sentinel-3B
Its twin, Sentinel-3A, has been in orbit since February 2016, systematically measuring our oceans, land, ice and atmosphere. The information feeds a range of practical applications and is used for monitoring and understanding large-scale global dynamics.
