SMOS Nominal Production will be stopped on 10 May 2017 at 07:00 UTC for L2OS v662 processor operational deployment

Due to the operational deployment of the new L2OS v662 processor, SMOS Level-1 and Level-2 Nominal Production will be stopped on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 at 07:00 UTC. It is expected that the production will be resumed on Friday, 12 May 2017.

Further information will be provided as soon as the nominal situation is fully reestablished.

The Sentinel-5P satellite has been at Plesetsk in northern Russia for almost two weeks. So far, it has been taken out of its transport container, positioned for testing and engineers have started ticking off the jobs on the long ‘to do' list.
