New ALOS ground segment - ALOS AV2 PRISM data available from Q2 2017
14 February 2017
As previously mentioned in the news of 25 April 2016, ESA is developing a new ground segment to offer the possibility to have online access to all of the ALOS data available at ESA.
ALOS AV2 PRISM data will be available for users from Q2 2017.
Due to some delay in the development of the new processors for the Optical chain, it is foreseen that the service will open in Q2 2017 with the majority of the optical data. The full population will follow later this year.
The ALOS PALSAR chain is currently under final validation for a service opening next month.

After being put through its paces to make sure it is fit for life in orbit around Earth, the Copernicus Sentinel-3B satellite is ready to be packed up and shipped to Russia for liftoff.
Its twin, Sentinel-3A, has been in orbit since February 2016, systematically measuring our oceans, land, ice and atmosphere. The information feeds a range of practical applications and is used for monitoring and understanding large-scale global dynamics.
