EGU 2018 - Mentoring application deadline

The General Assembly 2018 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) is going to be held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Vienna, Austria, from 8 to 13 April 2018. The assembly will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences, and is open to scientists of all nations.
Novice conference attendees, students, or early career scientists who wish to sign up to the EGU 2018 Mentoring Programme can do so within the application deadline of 31 January 2018.
The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. Abstracts can be submitted until the deadline of 10 January 2018.

The Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission has revealed that, on average, Greenland's glaciers are now flowing more slowly into the Arctic Ocean.
While glacial flow may have slowed overall, in summer glaciers flow 25% faster than they do in the winter.
