Call for Research Proposals - Living Planet Fellowship 2018

The European Space Agency (ESA) is pleased to invite you to participate to the Call for Research Proposals of the Living Planet Fellowship 2018.
The main objective of this initiative is to support young researchers who have a doctoral degree and would like to initiate a scientific career in the context of Earth Observation and Earth system science.
With this call, ESA plans to support up to 10 Post-Doctoral researchers (supported by ESA with a ceiling price of 99KEuro per 2-years under a co-funding scheme) to carry out a research project at a Host Institution in an eligible ESA Member State.
The application submission deadline is 22 February 2018.
Any question related to this Call must be sent by e-mail to EOScience@esa.int, no later than two (2) weeks before the Closing Date.

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit Indonesia on 28 September, destroying homes and hundreds of lives.
Satellite data can be used to support international disaster risk management efforts, such as those in Indonesia. One of the ways in which ESA is contributing to this area is through leading a range of activities in the framework of the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) Working Group on Disasters.
