MERIS Full Resolution Default planning for next period

The default planning, so-called Background Regional Mission (BRM), for MERIS Full Resolution (260 m) mode defines an acquisition strategy with the aim to build up consistent data sets.

Acquisitions are only possible during descending orbits due to the need of illumination over the area of interest.

The map below represents the MERIS BRM for cycle 113 applicable from 20 March to 19 April 2012.

WARNING: The following plot shows the BRM planned acquisitions. These acquisitions are subject to change due to conflicts with user planning requests, satellite resource availability and service interruption.

Note: Contrarily to MERIS Full Resolution (260 m), MERIS Reduced Resolution (1200 m) data are acquired systematically over the sun-illuminated part of the orbit.
