Member of the Environmental Audit Committee since 2001; chaired a number of EAC sub-committee inquiries.

Founder and Chair of the APPG on Climate Change in 2005 - now one of the largest and most active of APPGs.

Chair of the Intelligent Energy APPG since 2006.

Treasurer of GLOBE UK since 2005.

Winner of the first PRASEG House of Commons sustainable energy award in 2005 and runner up in 2006.

Listed amongst the UK's top 100 environmentalists by the Independent on Sunday.

Presented four bills on energy and climate change issues.

Participated as an EAC observer at UNFCCC meetings.

Member of BAPG delegation to the US in 2007 to persuade state legislators of need for climate change action.

Founder of Anglo-German parliamentary partnership on energy and climate change in 2008.

Member of the Green Fiscal Commission since 2006 - 2009.

Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 2007.

Hon. Fellow of the Society for the Environment since 2008.
