Reflecting the growing use of Earth observation, a software toolbox that provide users with the tools they need to process satellite data has been downloaded more than 500,000 times in less than five years.
This Telemetry Instrumentation Schedule contains a listing and channel assignment of all data processed by the Satellite Vehicle System (SVS) data system. A brief description of the telemetry format is included.
This SAR Ocean Feature Catalogue catalogue contains a selection of ERS-1 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, which illustrate radar backscatter signatures over the North Atlantic Ocean and coastal waters of Norway under a variety of environmental conditions.
The worksheets in this pack are intended to familiarise pupils between the ages of 11 and 14 with the subject of satellite imagery. Satellite images are of increasing importance in a great many domains and are dramatically changing the way we view the world and perceive physical phenomena. Both literally and figuratively, they add a new dimension to our knowledge, whether it be in the study of natural phenomena or in assisting humans in their various activities. Their use -- and understanding -- by pupils is one of the aims of this project.
The purpose of this plan is to summarise the essential steps to be undertaken, over the next decade, by a global community of nations and intergovernmental, international, and regional organisations, to put in place a Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS).
The proceedings from the Third ESA International Conference on Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems, which took place at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, from 26 to 29 November 1996, are presented here.
The proceedings from the Fifth International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation in Space, which took place at ESTEC, in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, from 01 to 03 June 1999, are presented here.
The proceedings from the EEOS Workshop on European Data Networks and Earth Observation User Information Services: Survey and Consultation, which took place from 13-15 December 1994, are presented here.
The proceedings from the CLARE International Workshop, which took place at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, from 13 to 14 September 1999, are presented here. The objective of the 1998 CLARE campaign was to collect and analyse radar and lidar as well as in-situ data to support the development of retrieval algorithms and to consolidate the scientific requirements of the future Earth Radiation Mission.
