Since variations in Earth’s magnetic field directly reflect the flow of fluid in the outermost core, new information from Swarm will further our understanding of the physics and dynamics of Earth's stormy heart—and the satellites are recently flying in a counter-rotating phase and closer in their separation, to enable scientists to discover new elements.

Swarm E CASSIOPE precise orbits and attitude data released
Precise orbits for the year 2018 and attitude quaternions for the period from January 2014 to January 2019 were produced for the CASSIOPE/e-POP, which was incorporated as the fourth element of the Swarm constellation (Swarm-Echo) in 2018. These data sets are now available on the Swarm dissemination server.

Retrieving Snow Depth Over Sea Ice Using Dual-Frequency Altimetric Measurements
A new study from the sea ice team of the Laboratory of Space Geophysical and Oceanographic Studies (LEGOS) in Toulouse has shown that dual-frequency SARAL and CryoSat-2 altimetric measurements can be used to retrieve consistent snow depth data over sea ice in both hemispheres.

We are pleased to announce that the complete data set of the COP Ocean Baseline C reprocessing has been now published and is available on the CryoSat Science Server. The previous Baseline B dataset has been moved to a dedicated subdirectory and it shall remain available until a new baseline will be brought into operations.
