    The document describes a procedure to retrieve the concentrations of phytoplankton pigment, suspended matter and gelbstoff from water leaving radiance reflectance data of the Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS), which will be operated on the environmental remote sensing satellite ENVISAT of the European Space Agency ESA.
