  Scatterometer and Radiometer Land Applications

  The results obtained in the study of land applications of space-borne scatterometers and radiometers are presented here. The investigations have been conducted using data from two microwave instruments: the ERS-1 Wind Scatterometer and the SSM/I radiometer. The potential of these present systems is analysed and new inversion techniques for various applications are developed. The study also emphasises the investigation of scatterometer image resolution enhancement techniques.

This format has been recommended by the Landsat Technical Working Group (LTWG) and the Committee on Earth Observation Systems (CEOS). The SFF allows to read the same software data on CCTs that have been generated by different stations.
