Performance Requirements and Budgets for the Gradiometric Mission

The purpose of this document is to provide a description of the GOCE gravimetric reference mission and of the reference gravity gradient tensor (GGT) model for the performance analysis; to provide an end-to-end analysis of the GGT measurement process; to provide the classification of the error sources of affecting the measurement of the GGT; to allocate performance requirements to the identified error sources through the apportionment of the assigned toplevel gradiometric performance requirement; to define the procedure for the compilation of the error budget for the measurement of the GGT; to provide the error budget for the measurement of the GGT (diagonal and off-diagonal components). GOCE Level 1b Products User Handbook

The purpose of this document is to provide a detailed descriptionof the GOCE Level 1b products generated by Instrument ProcessingFacility (IPF1) and distributed to GOCE users. The documentdescribes everything required to make use of the Level 1b productsfor the processing or application and is a selfstanding documentfor what regards Level 1b products user. For a complete review ofGOCE products, please refer also to GOCE Level 2 Data Handbookavailable on this library. Download

GOCE Calibration & Validation Plan for L1b Data Products

The purpose of this document is to provide a framework for theactivities planned in connection with the calibration andvalidation of Level 1b data products from the GOCE mission. Itcontains information on the overall context for GOCE-relatedcalibration and validation, together with a summary of each of theplanned activities, including information about their goals, methodology and their outputs, as well as a list of participants. The objective of documenting each specific effort is to identifyeach expected contribution to either calibration or validation ofLevel 1b products, in order to fully appreciate what areas arecovered by existing plans, and whether further attention to detailmay be required. GOCE High Level Processing Facility - Alternative method for rotation to TRF

The purpose of this report is to assess the performance of thepoint-wise rotation as compared to the baseline method. Whether thealternative method will be used in the operational chain, dependson the trade-off between the GG accuracy in the MBW and thegeographically correlated errors. This will be studied using ESAE2E Test Data. Download
