This note summarises the quality of the SMOS Level 1 data products generated by the version 620 of the Level 1 Operational Processor (L1OP) and by the version 620 of the Near Real Time (NRT) Processor which have been in operation from 5 May 2015.
The main purpose of this document is to provide a detailed definition of the processes and algorithms
contained in the Error Correction Module within the SMOS Level 1 Processor. This module is the first entry point to the processor, and is tasked with applying all the calibration procedures to the measured data (using ground and in-flight calibration).
Proceedings of the symposium held on 11-14 September 2001 at the University of Sheffield, UK. This Symposium provided a snapshot of where we currently stand in exploiting SAR data to understand geophysical and biophysical processes. It identified important areas for future research, in terms of specific problems and general trends: in total, 80 papers were presented on Forestry, Agriculture and Land Cover, Hazards and DTM, Soils and Hydrology, Snow and Ice, Process Modelling.
