  The scope of this document is to present the new SPTR2000 correction as the result of the different improvements to the Scanning Point Target Response Range Correction Algorithm. A very brief description is given on the main new algorithm concepts with particular highlights on the differences with the old version. The results are presented together with some elements of the validation performed within ESRIN.
