  Scatterometer and Radiometer Land Applications

  The results obtained in the study of land applications of space-borne scatterometers and radiometers are presented here. The investigations have been conducted using data from two microwave instruments: the ERS-1 Wind Scatterometer and the SSM/I radiometer. The potential of these present systems is analysed and new inversion techniques for various applications are developed. The study also emphasises the investigation of scatterometer image resolution enhancement techniques.

  The sample products provided on this CD give an example of how the new ERS SAR products will be made available using the ASAR core processor: starting from January 2005 new ERS SAR products will be made available only in ENVISAT format.
