We are glad to inform CryoSat data users that the new Ice Baseline D processors are operational and associated products are now available on the Science Server.

The switch has been introduced starting from data validity on 28 April 2019. As anticipated (news on 25 April 2019), the new products can be identified by the letter "D " in the version field. Data in NetCDF format can be identified by the data file extension, which is now .nc instead of .DBL.

Currently data is available on the Science Server in a continuous temporal sequence of the Baseline C data using the same directories. However as soon as Baseline D products are available from the reprocessing activity, all Baseline C data shall be moved to a separate directory.
