blue arrow Instrument Overview

The Doppler Orbitography and Radio-positioning Integrated by Satellite instrument (DORIS) was a microwave tracking system that was used to determine the precise location of the Envisat satellite. DORIS was based upon the accurate measurement of the Doppler shift of radio frequency signals transmitted from ground beacons and received on board the satellite.

blue arrow Cal/Val

The goal of DORIS calibration and validation activities was to verify the accuracy and quality of data the instrument acquired.

blue arrow Quality Control Reports

Quality Control is monitoring routinely the status of the spacecraft (payload and platform) and to check if the derived products meet the quality requirements along mission life-time. Daily reports are available for DORIS quality monitoring.
