Mallorca, Spain
NEW YEAR's IMAGE!i.e. an idea on where to spend the first euros of 2002!

The image shows Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands,
that lies off the coast of Spain in the Western Mediterranean Sea.
Mountainous in the northwest part, this island's economy is
sustained not only by tourism by also by farming, mining and fishing.
Centre left: Palma, the capital, on the Palma Bay.
No ships in navigation: 10:30 GMT is maybe too early for people still sleeping after having
toasted the arrival of the "Euroyear"!
Bottom right: Cabrera that belongs to the archipelago, together with Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.
