Switzerland: Lake of Geneva

The Lake of Geneva, situated at an altitude of 372 meters above sea level, is Western Europe's largest lake. At its greatest depth of 309.7 meters, in the portion known as the "Grand Lac" running from Montreux to Yvoire, it is still 62 meters above sea level. The lake's area of 582.4 square kilometers is divided between France (234 km2) and Switzerland (348.4 km2).
