Performance of MERIS products in Lake Victoria

Lake Victoria is one of the largest lakes in the world and use of remote sensed data would improve the knowlegde of the lake which suffers form severe eutrophication problems.
Some preliminary studies of the performance of the MERIS products using improved processors are compared to available in situ data.
Data from the ESA validation project VAMP in collaboration with Makerere Univeristy, from local monitoring authorities (LVFO) has been investigated as a part of the MERIS Lakes project.
