A model evaluation of aerosol products from the GlobAEROSOL project

Abstract

We use the GEOS-Chem chemistry transport model to evaluate the magnitude and distributions of space-borne measurements of aerosol optical thickness (AOT) in 2004 from the GlobAEROSOL project. We will also use coincident in situ aircraft observations of aerosol properties and trace gases to help interpret differences between model and observed AOT variations.
