Abstract

The Global Retrieval of ATSR Cloud Parameters and Evaluation (GRAPE) project, using the Oxford-RAL aerosol and cloud [ORAC] retrieval scheme currently provides a global dataset of cloud and aerosol properties for the period June 1995 to January 2001. Cloud and aerosol parameters are provided at 3x4km resolution, derived from visible and infra-red measurements taken by the Along Track Scanning Radiometer (ATSR) 2 instrument aboard the ERS-2 satellite.

This poster presents examples of the products and explores the spatial and temporal patterns observed in the datasets.
