This is an interferogram of the city of Zurich and its immediate surroundings. It is a Intensity- Hue display. The intensity is taken from the magnitude of the complex interferogram, in the Hue the fringes are shown (magenta-cyan-yellow cycles). In this scene earth flattening of the interferogram has been correctly performed and one can clearly see that the fringes follow closely the local topography (e.g. flat region around the airport and hills on either side of the lake Low coherence is indicated by absence of fringes. These areas are typically water surfaces, woods, areas with high local incidence angles and layover regions; but also areas of low intensity such as linear dark features like the runways of the airport.
