The image represents a multitemporal combination of the two ERS Tandem intensity images with ERS-1 in red and ERS-2 in green. It correspond to the central part of the full scene (fig.1.). North is approximately towards the left of the page. The yellow colour indicates no changes in the intensity between the two dates. The green or red in the lakes show that on the corresponding date there was more wind roughening the water surface. In general the 5th November was more windy. The Lake of Zurich is located in the right central part of the scene with the town at the northern end and the airport further north. The River Rhine is visible as a dark linear feature along the northern edge of the image. Note the morphology is very well outlined, especially for the smaller hills where layover is not present.
